Terms of Use

1. Acceptance

By using Scamlytics, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Assistance Tool Only

Scamlytics provides risk signals and safety guidance only. It does not provide financial, legal, security, or professional advice. You remain responsible for decisions you make after viewing app results.

Detection results are advisory only. Scam detection may produce false positives or false negatives. A low-risk result does not guarantee that a message, phone number, link, person, business, or transaction is safe.

3. No Guarantee Of Accuracy

Scam tactics change quickly. Rule-based checks, AI/ML classifier results, OCR analysis, speech-to-text detection, blacklist matches, and community reports may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. We do not claim 100% accuracy, guaranteed scam detection, or guaranteed protection from loss.

4. User Content License

When you submit reports, images, screenshots, descriptions, votes, or community content, you grant Scamlytics a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, analyze, moderate, display, reproduce, and use that content to operate and improve the service, provide scam protection, and maintain community safety.

5. Your Responsibility For Submitted Content

You are responsible for content you submit. Do not upload content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, invasive of privacy, or contains unnecessary sensitive personal information. Community reports are submitted by users and may be inaccurate, incomplete, offensive, or misleading.

6. Moderation And Abuse Prevention

We may review, hide, remove, limit, or refuse content, reports, votes, or access to features if we believe they are abusive, misleading, unlawful, spammy, unsafe, or harmful to the service. Scamlytics does not require mobile user accounts, but may use anonymous installation identifiers, limited device or request signals, rate limits, and moderation to prevent abuse.

7. Prohibited Uses

  • Do not use Scamlytics to harass others, threaten, defame, or target another person.
  • Do not mass-report legitimate targets or submit false, misleading, spam, automated, or coordinated reports.
  • Do not upload private or sensitive information unless you have the right to share it and it is necessary for the report.
  • Do not submit false evidence or attempt to manipulate detection scores, votes, community rankings, or moderation systems.
  • Do not reverse engineer threat systems, bypass rate limits, scrape community data, overload, attack, or interfere with the app, backend, models, rules, or APIs except where allowed by law.
  • Do not use Scamlytics for illegal activity or to build, distribute, or improve scams, phishing, malware, spam, or social engineering attacks.

8. Updates And Availability

Some features may depend on network access, third-party services, Android permissions, device capabilities, or regional availability. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. Offline detection may continue to work with cached data, but some network features may be unavailable or delayed.

9. Limitation Of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scamlytics and its operators are not liable for losses, damages, missed detections, incorrect warnings, reliance on detection results, user-submitted content, service interruptions, or actions you take based on the app. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

10. Termination

We may block, throttle, reject, remove, or limit access to features if we believe an installation, request, report, or community action is abusive, unsafe, fraudulent, illegal, or harmful to the service or other users.

11. Intellectual Property

Scamlytics, including its app design, text, detection rules, models, templates, logos, and related materials, is owned by Scamlytics or its licensors. These Terms do not give you ownership of the app or service. You may use Scamlytics only as allowed by these Terms and applicable law.

12. Relationship To Privacy Policy

Scamlytics is designed to be anonymous-first and local-first, but some optional or protection-related features may use remote checks, uploaded reports, community content, diagnostics, and trusted service providers to deliver scam detection and abuse prevention.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam, without regard to conflict of law rules.

14. Changes To These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use as the app changes. Continued use of Scamlytics after changes means you accept the updated terms.
